Kevin Muscat delighted as Melbourne Victory moves into fourth place
Melbourne Victory pulled out all the stops against a 10-man Adelaide side in a dominating display to win 3-0. A buoyant Kevin Muscat launched a strong defence of his Melbourne Victory side after the A-League heavyweights snapped a month-long wait for three points. Pushing aside fatigue, Victory overwhelmed Adelaide United 3-0 at AAMI Park on Saturday night to jump ahead of the Reds on the table. Guardiola's use of Silva and De Bruyne is revolutionising English football
It may have taken two penalty shootouts en route the Carabao Cup final but Pep Guardiola is on the brink of his first trophy in English football. Alison Bender and Don Hutchison look ahead to Sunday's Carabao Cup final between Arsenal and Manchester City. Pep Guardiola wants Manchester City to bounce back from their Monday FA Cup loss to Wigan and win the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal on Sunday. To paraphrase a popular co-commentary cliche: if anything, Manchester City are actually playing too well. With the Premier League title wrapped up weeks -- if not months -- ago, the genuine brilliance of Pep Guardiola's side has almost been overlooked: there's no tension, no intrigue, no will-they-or-won't-they debates going into the run-in. They win so frequently it's almost become dull, and yet the manner of their football is anything but. Manchester City will win the Premier League this season,...

Mundo Deportivo report Fortune made Messi a sensational offer of around £1.7MILLION-A-WEEK after tax in the summer.

However, he turned the money down and signed a new contract at Barcelona until 2021 — with a £626m buy-out clause.

But the Chinese Super League giants have not been put off, and have a long-term strategy in place to eventually secure his signature.

The report explains that, having seen their incredible offer turned down, they know money won’t be a determining factor, and are looking into other ways to convince the Argentinian.

While, they will also be able to call upon the financial support of huge companies linked to the club in order to meet the £621m buy-out clause.
